Pelican
Elementary is a child-centered school which will provide a

and the community will actively strive to ensure the
academic, social, and emotional success of all students.
Mission

mission of Pelican Elementary is to develop all students
to their potential through a comprehensive program,
enriched with technology and enhanced by the collaborative
efforts of a professional staff, parents and the

What's A Penny
Count?

Dress Code Please be certain
that your child is dressed in accordance with the District Dress
Code Policy. Anything that causes a disruption to the classroom
environment, such as temporary tattoos, is a dress code
violation. If you are unsure if something is appropriate, please
check the Code of Conduct that was sent home with the students
on the first day of school.
Clinic Donations Our clinic is in
need of clothing donations for boys and girls in sizes 4,5,6,7
and 8. Shorts are especially needed. Please drop off your
donations in the front office.
Dismissal If you arrive late to
pick up your child at dismissal time, identification will be
required before we will release the student.
Special Activities Pelican
students can choose from an assortment of school activities.
You or your child may be interested in 5th grade Chorus, a 5th
grade Honor Chorus, Drama Club, Pelican Drums, penny counts,
after school Art Club, Odyssey of the Mind, jump rope team, news
team and camera crew, library assistants, reading buddies,
community service activities, spring musical, backstage crew and
sound team for student performances, field trips, special
science opportunities and supported behavior classes.
