END OF THE YEAR
Wow! It is hard to believe we are winding up this
amazing school year! This is a VERY busy
time of the year for everyone. Please be sure to
read all information coming home for updates and special
events!
FIFTH GRADE AWARDS!
Soon we will be sending our AMAZING 5th graders off to
middle school! WOW! The award ceremonies are
at the following times.
Fifth grade awards for Mrs. Blythe, Mrs. Devitt, and
Mrs. Hill’s class will be May 16th 8:00 –
8:30 AM in the school cafeteria.
Fifth grade awards for Ms. Wademan, Ms. Gallardo, and
Ms. Bronec’s classes will be May 17th 8:00 –
8:30 AM in the school cafeteria.
WE ARE SO PROUD OF ALL OUR 5TH GRADERS! WE
KNOW YOU WILL CONTINUE TO SHINE!
SCHOOL'S OUT. FREE MEALS ARE IN!
The School District of Lee County
will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program
from May 28, 2013 to July 26, 2013.
Participating sites will provide nutritious meals
to kids and teens 18 and under.
Meals are free. There are no income or
registration requirements.

If your
child is going to be Parent Drive Up in the front
loop , please send an email to Mrs. Allen with the
name(s) of your child/children and what grade each of
them is in. Once the email is received, a car tag will
be given to your child’s teacher to distribute to you.

New Generation
Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) and
The Common Core
State Standards (CCSS)
Presently, the standards adopted in
2007, now called the Next Generation Sunshine State
Standards in Reading/ Language Arts, are the standards
being taught in the classroom and assessed on FCAT 2.0
Reading Assessment.
These standards are to be fully
implemented with the beginning of the 2013-14 school
year.

Clinic Donations
Our clinic is in need of clothing donations for boys and girls
in sizes 4,5,6,7 and 8. Please drop off your donations in
the front office.
Dismissal
If you arrive late to pick up your child at dismissal time,
identification will be required before we will release the
student.
